BUCKWHEAT GROATS BUCKWHEAT GROATS

Buckwheat (which is not part of the wheat family) is a plant crop that produces a seed that is triangular in shape and has a black hull. The hull has been removed in this grain leaving it a greenish yellow color. It can be ground into flour or cooked whole. A favorite addition to waffles and pancakes.

FARRO FARRO

A high-protein, high-fiber ancient whole-grain similar to barley, though with a slightly more oblong and larger grain. Like barley, farro retains a notable amount of chew when it gets cooked. Farro and barley can be used interchangeably in most recipes. Farro is a wheat product and contains gluten.
